Toxic Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Pets

Grapes & Raisins
Grapes, raisins, and sultanas contain tartaric acid. It can cause diarrhea, lethargy, abdominal pain, vomiting (within a few hours), loss of appetite, and kidney damage or failure in dogs and cats.
Onions & Garlic
Onions and garlic contain thiosulphates, which can demolish red blood cells, causing anemia in dogs and cats.
Avocados
Avocados have a toxin called persin and can cause breathing problems and even death in small birds (parakeets, canaries, etc.).
Macadamia Nuts
Macadamia nuts can cause diarrhea, lethargy, paralysis, and temporary vomiting in dogs. A dog can show symptoms from eating as little as 1/10 of an ounce per roughly 2 pounds of body weight.
